Growing up in an active family meant curling
was one of many sports that I participated in. At a very young age, I was introduced to the sport by my mom at the Tartan Curling Club in Regina. I loved the game right from the start, and when I got into my early teens, I started getting into the competitive side. At this point, I lived in Prince Albert in a very convenient location – right across the street from the curling rink! Curling was still a family tradition - I was able to play with my two brothers for many years of juvenile, high school, and junior curling.
A little known fact is Dallan actually skipped me in my first year of men’s curling - and this was my first Provincial Tankard appearance. I have competed in multiple Tankard’s now, with 2018 being the best result (runner-up). Also during that season, my team won the WCT’s College Clean Restoration Classic in Saskatoon, competed in the Canadian Olympic Pre-Trials, and the Humpty’s Champions Cup Grand Slam event.
Work as hard to be a great teammate as you do to be a great player
